Bicycle Parade

Location: Notre Dame High School

Saturday September 18th, 2010
11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Red Deer's first Bicycle Parade occurs on Saturday, September 18. This event organized by Better Bicycle Commuting and supported by ReThink Red Deer is intended to bring public, media and municipal attention to the great opportunity for a stronger bike culture in Red Deer. "Our first goal is to celebrate the bicycle and all the fun, freedom and friendliness it represents," says organizer Mike Kozlowski.

Participants will also make their case for increased public support for cycling initiatives, including dedicated bike lanes on city commuter streets.

The parade will start at 11 am at the Notre Dame High School and finish at City Hall, where a letter will be presented to a City of Red Deer representative.
